How to Play Roulette 

 

Roulette is a simple game that our professional croupiers will be happy to teach you and your guests. Roulette chips are purchased at the gaming table from the croupier and each individual player will be given their own colour chips to ensure that the croupier knows who has placed each bet. Players place their chips on the table betting on the numbers they think will come up next.

The croupier spins the ball in the rim of the wheel and the ball eventually drops into a number at random. This denotes the winning number. There are many different ways to bet on a roulette game, listed and shown in the diagram below.

A – Straight up (a chip placed directly on any number, covering number 2 in the diagram) If this number wins, the payout is 35:1 (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £175)

B – Split (a chip placed between two numbers, covering numbers 4&7 in the diagram) If either of the numbers win, the payout is 17:1 (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £85)

C – Street (a chip placed on a row of 3 numbers, covering numbers 13, 14 & 15 in the diagram) If any of the 3 numbers win, the payout is 11:1 (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £55)

D – Corner (a chip placed on the corner of 4 numbers, covering numbers 20, 21, 23 & 24 in the diagram) If any of the 4 numbers win, the payout is 8:1 (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £40)

E – Six line (a chip placed between two rows of numbers, covering numbers 28-33 in the diagram) If any of the 6 numbers in the corresponding 2 rows come in, the payout is 5:1 (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £25)

F – Columns (a chip placed on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd column) If any of the numbers in the column directly above come in the payout is 2:1 (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £10)  

G – Dozens (a chip placed on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd dozen) If any of the numbers in the corresponding dozen come in the payout is 2:1 (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £10)  

H – Even chance bet Low numbers = 1-18 High numbers = 19-36 These bets payout at 1:1 or even money (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £5)  

I – Even chance bet Any ‘Odd’ number Any ‘Even’ number These bets payout at 1:1 or even money (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £5)  

J – Even chance bet Any ‘Red’ number Any ‘Black’ number These bets payout at 1:1 or even money (eg. A winning bet of £5 here pays £5)
